What is DSHplus?

DSHplus is a simulation program especially developed for the dynamic nonlinear calculation of complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Its models also comprise 1D mechanical structures and controller elements of the mechatronic system. DSHplus is applicable for analysis of system dynamics, system revision, component selection, component development, fault diagnosis, as well as training purposes. It is a graphic oriented program and focuses in the description of the system on the function unit component part as the central element of the modeling conception. The resulting circuit analogy, aligned to ISO 1219, allows an easy and comfortable design of the simulation model and guarantees that the user feels immediately familiar with the simulation tool.

DSHplus comes with a collection of tools, that supports the design engineers work from the first conception of a fluid power drive to the controller design, and finally up to the start-up of the system. The result is a system design optimally adjusted to the technical problem. For the user this results into a reduction of the prototype expenditure and to a significant saving of development time.

Modules

Available Modules
  • DSHplus-Solve is used for model calculation only: calculation kernel, simulation model, access to technology-specific auxiliary functions.
  • DSHplus-View includes high detailed component libraries, model setup, simulation pre-processing and result post-processing, online monitoring for simulation results.

DSHplus is a simulation program especially developed for the dynamic nonlinear calculation of complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.

Automatic Simulation Modules
The DSHplus Parameter Variation Module and the DSHplus Batch Simulation Module are core modules of the DSHplus Virtual Engineering Lab. By means of these modules the design engineer is able to automate the simulation in order to analyze different parameter configurations or complete system set-ups automatically one after an other.

Frequency Spectrum Module
This is used in order to analyze simulation results, it is possible to perform an automatically calculation after each simulation run. The calculated frequency data can be save and the bode diagram can be plotted or copied via clip-board. A power spectrum of input and output is available too.

Parameter Optimization Module
DSHplus Optimization Module automatically performs the variation of selected system parameter in pre-defined ranges. DSHplus Optimization Module provides the design engineer with a tool that allows an automatic search for the optimal controller gain settings or the best design parameter values.

DSHplus Libraries
DSHplus provides libraries for hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, mechanics, thermo hydraulics and other components.
