Multi-Component Molding and Fiber Orientation

The first session will demonstrate the importance of using simulation when designing and manufacturing plastic parts that contain part inserts such as metal, rubber, or other plastic materials. The presentation will exemplify that how companies in the past have used Moldex3D’s technology to save costs, increase productivity, and improve part quality.
The second session will detail Moldex3D’s ability to determine the fiber orientation of a part after it has been filled with a plastic containing various types of fibers. Case studies examining how fiber orientation affects part quality and properties will be explored as well as how Moldex3D has been able to accurately predict this phenomenon and apply it to simulation.
