What is Total Materia Premium Edition?

Total Materia Premium Edition, by Key to Metals AG, is the world’s most comprehensive materials database with over 5 million property records spanning in excess of 230,000 materials. A truly multilingual platform, the only of its kind, Key to Metals supports global business by being available in 22 languages. Offering the most dynamic update policy on the market and certified data quality, Key to Metals AG ensures the engineering community is provided with the most up to date and accurate information available.

The Total Materia Extended Range dataset in synergy with the standard Total Metals data provides you with an unparalleled material properties resource for advanced structural and thermal calculations and analysis. Providing stress-strain curves, fatigue data, formability curves, fracture mechanics information and creep data for thousands of materials, Extended Range is designed to avoid costly mistakes in design, save time and money through intelligent search methods and enhance the depth and quality of information required for CAE and FEA analysis.

Exclusively for Altair Partner Alliance users, Key to Metals AG presents its Total Materia Premium Edition which gives the entire wealth of Total Metals and Extended Range plus some exciting new additions. Brand new functionality allows the user to now import advanced property data from the Total Materia database into the HyperWorks environment through a number of bespoke, solver compatible formats.

Additionally, with the new Total Materia Premium Edition, full access to our non-metallic material property library PolyPLUS is available which includes a growing library of over 35,000 polymer materials as well as ceramic and composites.

Key Features & Benefits

The Total Materia database is the world’s most comprehensive materials database with over 5 million property records spanning in excess of 230,000 materials. Using international cross reference tables it is possible to find and compare materials from around the world including, chemical compositions, mechanical and physical properties, heat treatment diagrams, properties at elevated temperatures and much more.

A truly multilingual platform, the only of its kind, Total Materia supports global business by being available in 22 languages, including Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and many more. ISO 9001 & 27001 certified, Key to Metals AG offers and world class level of quality and accuracy along with the highest level of technical support for all our users.

Extended Range provides stress-strain curves, flow stress flow strain curves, fatigue data, fracture mechanics information and creep data for thousands of materials and is by far the largest resource of its kind available. Combined with readily available elastic range properties for over 120,000 materials worldwide, Extended Range works seamlessly with the Key to Metals database to provide a truly powerful tool for the engineering world. Total Materia’s Extended Range is designed to take the incredibly time consuming and often complex task of sourcing advanced property data from a range of resources and making it possible to find this information in seconds. The quality of information is also higher compared to other sources, due to data coupling with standard specifications and increased possibility to compare and benchmark different materials, curves and formulas. Creating new opportunities in design and simulation, Extended Range supports and compliments current CAE and FEA software tools, all in all creating an invaluable resource for the Engineering community.

Presented exclusively for Altair Partner Alliance users, Key to Metals AG presents its Premium Edition which gives the entire wealth of Total Metals and Extended Range plus some exciting new additions.

Brand new functionality module, eXporter allows the user to now import advanced property data from the Total Materia database into the HyperWorks CAE software of choice through a number of bespoke, solver compatible formats. This means that it is now possible to efficiently and accurately move material property data into the CAE software directly from Total Materia with a few simple clicks of the mouse.

Additionally, with the Total Materia Premium Edition, comes full access to our non-metallic material property library PolyPLUS which includes a growing library of over 35,000 polymer materials as well as ceramic and composites. With over 1500 stress-strain and fatigue property datasets already for plastic and composite materials, advanced properties are being added regularly to the PolyPLUS module.

Applications

Total Materia is currently used in a large number of industrial sectors including Automotive, Machinery, Power & Energy, Engineering Design & Solutions, Electronics & Technology, Analytical & Testing, Aerospace, Metal Working, Universities, Institutional Organizations and many more diversified groups.
